The Red Queen is more than a Tattoo Shop. This family operation was created in 1994 to support the dreams of our daughter Alethea, as well as the vision of Charla and Tarwater to provide a safe and sane place for the community to participate in this ancient rite of passage and personal expression. Lulu came on board as a tattooist in 2001. She is now owner and operator of Red Queen.
The Red Queen supports the creation of health codes to regulate the industry and has been an active participant with the Hamilton County Health Department in developing stronger codes for Body Piercing and Tattooing for the State of Tennessee.
We provide only the safest services and will not waiver simply to make money on fads like tongue piercing. WE WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY SERVICE THAT WILL PUT YOUR LIFE OR LIFESTYLE IN JEOPARDY. We avoid any body piercings that can create long term damage or scarring to the body. This also means we do not Tattoo faces or hands in any manner that would make it impossible for you to get a job. We seek to educate and support a creative and responsible practice. Tattoos can be fun and freeing. They can also cause conflict. We encourage customers to think about the process before making the decision that will be on your body for a lifetime!
